IN THE THOMAS GALLERY
We will start 2026 with our popular judged exhibit, along with community voting and cash prizes. This year the theme will be Honoring Women. In April we will present the 27th annual youth art show, Spring Into Art, filling the gallery with the creativity of our young artists. After that, we will bring back Fired & Fiber featuring ceramics and textile art. Our early summer exhibit will be for members only. It calls artists to explore an intriguing theme, Connections: How Living Things Relate. In late Summer we will ask artists to dig deep and show us their Rhythms Within: Abstract expressions. Moving into Fall we are please to have long-time member, Tina Masciocchi, as our 2026 featured artist. Finally, for the holiday season, we’ll “wrap up” the year with The Gift of Art.
If you have questions please contact our Curatorial Director, Johanna McCormick at mccdesign@gmail.com.

2026 Exhibit Themes
Honoring Women: An International Women’s Month Exhibit
March is International Women’s Month. So for the first exhibit of 2026, we would like you to create art that honors and celebrates women. They could be famous, historical figures, pioneering women, local heroes, or unnamed women know only to you. This is an opportunity to recognize their lives, achievements, resilience, personal pain, acts of courage and determination, experiences, culture or complex identities. We hope this exhibit will show our gratitude to women for their impact on world, or even on our own personal lives.
Spring into Art: Our 27th Annual Youth Exhibit
Attention young artists! Here’s your chance to share your artwork with the community.
Anyone under the age of 21 is invited to submit artwork in any medium.
Fired & Fiber: Ceramics and Fiber Arts
For this show we fill the gallery with our local artist’s fabulous creations in all types of ceramic and textiles. Ceramic pieces can be hand built or thrown, sculptural, decorative or functional, in any type of clay, fired in any type of kiln – be it electric, gas, soda, raku, etc. Textile art can include fabrics, yarns, reeds, seaweed, twine or any material you can weave, felt, sew, macramé, knit, twist, etc.
Connections: How Living Things Relate
In this exhibit we would like artists to explore the many aspects of connections among living things. It can be with humans, animals, plants or even microorganisms! Whether they’re emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, bond forming or habit forming – the good, the bad, the beautiful, or the ugly – anything goes when showing us your ideas about Connections!
Rhythms Within: Abstract Expressions
Abstract art can range from slightly altered depictions of reality to entirely non-representational works. When we let go of what we see and tap into images we find within us, we can connect with our own perspective on reality. For this exhibit we are looking for strong work that focuses on emotion, ideas, or an internal reality, rather than a recognizable subject. Tap into your inner rhythms and show us how you express them!
Featured Artist: Tina Masciocchi
This year we are thrilled to have a long-time member of the Art Center, Tina Masciocchi, as our Featured Artist.
The Gift of Art: Annual Holiday Gift Exhibit
Once again we will have our popular holiday gift exhibit. For this show we ask artists to submit work that is suitable for gift giving. Framed paintings, crafty wall hangings, functional ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, cards, glass, woodwork, etc! All mediums are welcome. But all submissions must be for sale. Open to artists 18 years and older.
