UPDATE:
We crushed our goal! $3605 raised. As of 5/9/24 we have registered 27 scholarship recipients in our Summer classes. GRO Community has independently funded 4 summer scholarships as well, bringing the total to 31 funded. We still have scholarships available for Weeks 2 and 3 and expect to fill those spaces soon. Many thanks to all who have contributed!
Summer Scholarship Fundraiser
While we strive to keep our class fees affordable, there are members of the community who are struggling to make ends meet, and without a scholarship our classes would be out of reach. For this reason SCMAC’s donor-funded Youth Scholarship Fund was created.
One of the reasons we’ve been able to provide classes to so many students is because of a variety of scholarship sources. So far this spring, GRO Community funded classes for 4 students, and through our own fund we facilitated 8 sliding scale to full scholarships as well.
Support Young Artists
We don’t want to turn kids away. So, we’re asking you to donate to our Scholarship Fund. Our fundraising target of $3500 will provide full scholarships for 36 students – that’s 2 in each class we have planned for this summer. The more we raise, the more kids can come to class.
Just use the donation form on this page. We thank you. And the young artists we support thank you too!
