We are once again joining the The Human Race to raise funds for the Art Center.

We need your help this year to keep our vibrant Youth Art Education program going! The program support grant we received in past years is ending in November and will not be offered next year.

This means we need to raise $10,000 from other sources in order to fully fund our Art After School curriculum: offered at Boulder Creek, Bonny Doon and San Lorenzo Elementary schools, and SLV Middle School. Our program has grown to 30 4-week sessions at these schools over the course of the school year, with 10+ instructors and teaching assistants involved.

Your donations are needed to keep the price of these classes crazy-affordable to the residents of our community.

What is the Human Race?
The Human Race is Santa Cruz county’s largest community fundraiser, with the goal of raising $450,000 for local organizations this year. Over 2000 people will join in a 5-mile walk/run along West Cliff in Santa Cruz, on Saturday, May 12. Organizations will receive at least 75% of money raised, the Volunteer Center uses the balance to pay for the event.

How can you help?

1. Make a donation online between now and May 12:
just go to our page on the Human Race Website and pay electronically

2. Make a donation by check or cash:
Make checks payable to “Volunteer Center HR”
and bring or mail to the Art Center
9341 Mill Street, Ben Lomond, CA 95005

Cash can be brought to the Art Center during gallery hours,
Wed – Sun 11 am – 5 pm, or given to a team member.

Donations in any amount are welcome, every little bit counts!

Thank you in advance for your generous support,
and for helping us bring art to our community for the last 21 years!
