Art After School
The popular SCMAC AAS program was the subject of a front page article “After School Arts Enrich Students” in the Press-Banner newspaper dated February 5, 2015. Interviewing SLVMS Principal Shannon Calden, Press-Banner reporter Patricia Sousa wrote:
The After School Art program has been welcomed by schools with open arms, allowing students to participate in all aspects of art. “Parents have been excited about the opportunity for their kids to be involved in art,” said SLV Elementary School Principal Shannon Calden.
When: Tuesdays 2:45 – 4:30 p.m. Parents, please provide your child with a healthy snack.
Who: For students grades 2 – 5. Class size limited to fifteen students on a first come, first serve basis.
Where: Main building, old Mac lab.
Parents, please pick-up your children from the Main Office door at 4:30 pm.
How: Register and pay online.
Cost: $35 per 4-week session. Register early, classes fill quickly! Sliding scale fee available to families in need. Please call 336-3513.

Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County and donations from people just like you, four week art classes are provided for a small stipend to elementary and middle school students.
