The Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center is honored to have the Eloise Pickard Smith Gallery Curator Linda Pope as the exhibition juror. In addition to a long and rich history with numerous eclectic artists at the University of California at Santa Cruz, Pope was the owner and director of Santa Cruz’s international Pope Gallery. According to the Santa Cruz Visual Arts.

Pope has encouraged and promoted Santa Cruz artists and helped them connect them with the larger art world. Pope believes that "art helps to make the world a better place. It encourages us to see the world in yet another way, sometimes offering hope and new visions, healing and insight into ourselves and others. Art is, quite simply, food for the soul. I would like to see the world come together under the umbrella of art."
