EDIBLE ART

August 10 - September 15, 2000

Category 1:  Food as Art:  Paint, sculpt, print, carve or fabricate a piece of art which uses food as its subject matter.  Show us what's eating you, or what you'd like to eat.  Any media, any size--just so it is food oriented!  From a bowl of fruit to bowling alley food--we want to see it.  Cheese sandwich, arugula, Tootsie Roll Pops, a meal to end all meals --presented appetizingly by you, they are food for the eyes.  ABSOLUTELY NO REAL FOOD IN THIS CATEGORY

Category 2:  Art as Food:  In this category, we want real food of the edible variety. Bring it to the artist's reception where it will be admired, judged and devoured.  Any artful arrangement from hors d'ouevres to bridal cake - pate sculpture to carved lard.   If it is edible and beautiful, it is appropriate for this category.   Applications due by August 5th.
