Breda moved to Boulder Creek in 1978 after obtaining a MA in art from San Jose State University.  She gained experience in oil and watercolor painting, and fabric painting.

Her use of strong color is an important factor in obtaining the results she desires.  Breda uses figures and scenery to illustrate this direction.  Composition of these three elements, color, figure and scenery can be visualized in her work.

Throughout the last 12 years, Breda has shown her paintings in many exhibitions at the Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, where she is known for her exuberant nature and volunteer help.
